Music Director Swanand Kirkire will be back on TV after showing his singing talent on shows like Aamir Khan’s maiden show Satyamev Jayate and Life OK’s Ram-Leela.
Swanand Kirkire has accorded to host a show on EPIC, produced by Saregama Productions. Show title yet to be finalized but it will be a 13 episodes series, each series will related to the life of an Indian legend.
The first episode of the series will focus on Gandhi and Nehru’s life during Independence, next will be the journey of great singer Lata Mangeshkar an Kishor Kumar. It will air for an hour only on weekends on new channel EPIC. The cast is also finalized for the episodes, and is done by Raghi papiya Joshi, who was last seen with Life OK’s Ram-Leela and is currently working for ABP news’ Pradhanmantri.
Anand Mahindra, chairman and MD of the vehicle maker company Mahindra & Mahindra,he will launch the country’s first genrespecific Hindi Entertainment channel that focuses on Indian history, folklore and mythology. Mahesh Samat, who was Walt Disney India managing director last year ,he will head the channel, to be called Epic.
