Finally the most awaited Star Plus serial Ek Hasina Thi started from 14th April 2014. The theme / story / plot / concept of the show looks very interesting.
First episode of Ek Hasina Thi starts with introduction scene of lead actress Durga Thakur (Sanjeeda Sheikh). She does Maa Durga pooja and She takes Maa blessing for justice. Payal(Teena Chopra) who is in hospital and gets scared to see Shaurya Goenka’s (Vastal Seth) sketch. She suffers form mental attack then doctor call to Durga for Payal safety. Durga came fast to meet Payal and see her condition. Payal gives her hand to Durga and she feels relief.
Doctor said to Durga that, “If we know about reason behind Payal condition then its easy to treat her”. Durga doesn’t know Payal, she met her in camp and she only knows her name. Durga doesn’t know Payal still she wants to help her.
On the other hand, Shaurya enters in house through Balcony to meet his girlfriend Avantika. He romances with her and place call to his friend to hear his love sound. Shaurya Goenka who is the rich, womanizing scion of the Goenka clan. Shaurya knows that with his family’s influence, he can get away with anything.
Sharrya’s parents Sakshi and Rajnath Goenka (played by Simone Singh and Ayub Khan) whose financial muscle and stronghold over the city automatically make them both a revered and feared opponent.
Rajnath presents with sigh cheque and Sakshi plays piano then one man comes and tells someone got permission to do the first bhog of Maa Durga and she is girl Durga Thakur.
Durga is also rich and pays more money than Goenka’s to the pandit to take the permission to do the first bhog. Durga Pooja starts, Durga Thakur comes to do first Bhog then at that time Sakshi and Rajnath Goenka comes and shares that “our family does the first bhog every year”. Durga tells, she came from America and new in Kolkatta. She didn’t know about tradition of this city and she gives first bhog to Sakshi.
After some time Shaurya Goenka comes to pooja and by seeing Durga speak to himself, “No one can be more lucky than me, Maa gave me blessings before the puja”. Durga recognizes him from sketch and continue dancing.
After sometime when aarti starts, everyone get shocked to see fire in Durga’s saree. Durga is shocked. Shaurya is shocked too and puts water on her from a big pot. He also gives his stole to her and says if anything happened to you today, I would have died.
Durga says you look in hurry to die. He says ready to die for you, shall we. She says fine, I will let you know where and when. He smiles. She leaves. Shaurya feels that Durga refused his friendship and its a challenge for him. Shaurya loves accepting challenges. Durga apeaks to herself, “look at me Shaurya, I m your life’s last love as my mission is to ruin you”.
Let’s see what is mystery behind this revenge, actually this is not a revenge story but a story of a woman seeking justice for a crime committed in the past.
