Ashutosh Gowariker’s first small screen show Everest, to be aired on Star Plus, is creating a buzz with its unique concept. Shamata playing the lead role of 21-year-old Anjali Singh Rawat, a small town girl who discovers herself on the journey to scale Mount Everest, which was her father’s unfulfilled dream.
Rohan Gandotra playing daredevil journalist Aakaash, a man who is Straight-forward and loyal, he stands up against injustice. Sahil Salathia as Arjun Sabhrawal is the most promising mountaineer of the country.
Anjali’s father, Brigadier Rawat character played by Manish Choudhary is a highly decorated officer of the Indian Army and a successful mountaineer. Anjali’s mother Sarita is a soft-hearted person, this character is played by Kishori Shahane is devoted to her daughter and will go to any lengths to make her happy.
