Shabbir Ahluwalia is a versatile actor in Indian television screen. People commonly known him as Rishi Garewal from Blaji Telefilm’s popular TV serial “Kanhi To Hoga” in 2003, telecast-ed on “Star Plus”. He has entered to Bollywood with the movie “Shootout At Lokhandwala” in the year 2008. Shabir was also the winner of “Khatron Ke Khiladi” season 3 on colors. Now his running project is ZEE Tv’s romance friction drama “Kumkum Bhagya” as a rock star Abhi.
Personal Life:
Shabbir Sebastain Ahluwalia is his real name. He was born to Punjabi father and catholic mother on 10th August 1979. His native place is Mumbai. He has one brother Sameer and one sister Shefali. About his study, he stared schooling from St. Xaviar’s high school, Mumbai, then graduate from Maryland university, US. Shabir is also a good sports man. That spirit made him the captain of celebrity cricket team Boxy Boys. Of the year 2011 shabir got married to Kanchi Kaul who is a beautiful actress as well as a trained scuba diver. Recently on 25 July both became parents to a baby boy.

This brilliant talented actor debut on ZEE TV’s serial “Hip Hip Hurray” on 1999.Then he was a part of the most popular television ‘s family, drama “Kyon Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” of the year 2001.Then he did “Kahin To Milenge” in 2002, In the year 2004 he acted on 3 serials like “Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki”, “Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat” and “Kavyanjali”. Then he took part of two well-liked telly drama show “Kasamh Se” on ZEE TV and “Kasautii zindegii Kay” on Star Plus.
Shabbir also hosted many reality shows like “Nach Baliye 1” and “Nach Baliye 2” on Star Plus, “Meethi Churi N o 1” on NDTV imagine, “Dancing queen” and “ Guinness World Record India” on colors. He participated and won “Khatron Ke Khiladi” session 3. Shabir did two bollywood film “Shootout At lokhendwala” in 2007 as the character of RC and “Mission Istaanbul” in 2008 as the character of Khalil Nazir. In Ekta Kapoor’s romantic dramatical telly soap opera “Kumkum Bhagya” based on the novel “Sense And Sensibility”, so in this drama Shabbir played the role of a Rock Star who married under a stress circumstance to a beautiful traditional girl Pragya (sriti jha) a professor of a college. But Abhi’s sister didn’t like and support Pragya because she wants her brother would marriage to her friend Tanu. But Abhi respect and obey her dadi (Daljit Soundh) who loves Pragya very much.
Awards and achievements:
For the show “Kahin To Hoga” he won the Best Actor In Negative Role” from Indian Telly Award on 2004. He won four times from STAR Parivar Award as “Favorite Devar” on 2006, ”Favorite Bhai” on 2005 and 2007 for the show Kahin To Hoga, and “Favorite Pati” on 2008 for the show Kayamath.
Two time from ITA Award as “best Actor in Supporting Role” for Kahin To Hoga, and “Best Anchor” for Nach Baliye. And at last he also won the trophy of “Best Style Icon of the Year” from Indian Telly Award of the year 2005 and 2006.
