Rasika Sunil aka Shanaya is now household name in every Marathi family due to recently started Zee Marathi show Mazya Navryachi Bayko.

Her family includes her parents – Mother Manisha is also an actress and her Father is a CA, who works abroad.

Career: 

She participated in the acting workshops when she was in school. After doing some theater competitions at college level, acting became passion for her.

Rasika started her acting career with Youth Festival and Rajya Natya Spardhas. 

Her mother was very keen that she should learn some form of music. So, she learnt classical music for more than seven years and completed her Sangeet Visharad.

She loves singing along with acting and have done live concerts with Ajay Atul and also did playback for Ajintha.

Struggle amid acting and singing she decided to shift her career focus on acting.

In the 52nd Natya Spardha, her natak Love Aaj Kal won the first prize. Later, she also participated in the Lux Jhakas Heroine and faced the TV camera for the first time. She bagged the second lead role for Zee Marathi’s Mazhya Navryachi Bayko in 2016.

Earliar Rasika was seen in a Lavani of “Poshter Girl” and her two upcoming movies will be releasing shortly- Bus Stop and Baghtos Kaay Mujra Kar.

Rasika is doing second lead role in this show essays as Shanays who is very modern girl and loves to Abhijeet’s money not him.

She wants only money and would like to very high class life so she takes advantage of Abhijeet’s designation and simple nature.
