Preetika Rao best known as Aaliya for her role in Beintehaa serial. Before accepting Beintehaa serial Preetika did some modeling assignments , she also appeared in Tamil and Telugu movies.

Preetika Rao was born in Manglore but raised in Mumbai, Born on 7th June 1988. Her father Deepak Rao owns an advertisement company in Mumbai, Mother is home maker while elder sister Amrita Rao is well known Bollywood actress. Preetika completed her graduation in History subject from Sophia college and also holds a diploma in Journalism & Advertisement. She also hold interest in palmistry and astrology.
Career:
While doing her graduation in History Preetika were also doing modeling and was seen in TV commercials like Cadbury Dairy Milk. On 21st June 2011 she owned Miss Asia 2011. Preetika did her debut from Tamil movie called Chikku Biku in 2010. In 20144 she made her Hindi TV debut from Beintehaa serial where she is playing role of Aaliya.
Aaliya in Beintehaa :
Preetika in Beintehaa serial is doing role of Muslim girl called Aaliya. Aaliya is a middle class girl from Bhopal who used to stay with her family. Her family includes Mother, Father and younger sister. Accidentally she gets married to Zain Abdullah a character performed by Harshad. In serial, they both hate each other but gradually thing are changing and love is getting develop between the couple.
