Career: Disha started her career from theatre and acted in popular Gujarati plays like Kamal Patel v/s Dhamal Patel, and Lali Lila. She has also done small but effective roles in Bollywood movies like Jodha Akbar (2008) and Devdas (2002). In 2008 she got major breakthrough, She was casted in role of Daya Ben in Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma.
She has won many awards like Indian Television Academy Awards for Best Actress in Comedy section in 2008 and 2009.
Personal Life: Disha born on 17 September 1978 in Ahmedabad district of Gujarat. She lives in Kandivali area in Mumbai. Disha is unmarried and waiting for Mr. Right. Her family includes Mom, Dad (Bhim Vakani) and Brother (Mayank Vakani). Mayank Vakani who plays role of Sundarlal is her real brother.
